Accessibility Statement
B86N is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible — including those with disabilities.
Our commitment
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the international standard for accessible web content. We treat accessibility as part of how a serious institutional firm operates — not as an afterthought.
What we do to make this site accessible
- Semantic HTML — pages use appropriate landmark elements (nav, main, footer) and a logical heading hierarchy
- Keyboard navigable — all interactive elements (links, buttons, menus) are operable using a keyboard alone
- Sufficient colour contrast — text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratios against the dark theme
- Alternative text on images — meaningful images have descriptive
altattributes; decorative images are marked as such - Visible focus indicators — keyboard focus is visible on interactive elements
- Responsive layout — content reflows for screen readers, mobile, and zoomed desktop without loss of meaning
- ARIA labels — interactive components (mobile menu, navigation regions) are labelled for assistive technology
Known limitations
We continually test and improve. Where we identify gaps, we publish them here:
- The decorative brain logo on the home page hero is provided as a raster image; while marked as decorative, future iterations may move to vector graphics with embedded ARIA descriptions.
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this site, we want to know. See "Contact" below.
Compatibility
This site is designed to be compatible with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and the screen readers commonly used with them (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver). It does not rely on JavaScript for core navigation or content rendering — content remains accessible if scripts are disabled.
Technical specifications
Accessibility of this site relies on standards-compliant HTML, CSS, and where present, JavaScript and WAI-ARIA. We test against the latest stable versions of the technologies above.
Assessment approach
Our accessibility approach combines:
- Self-assessment against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria
- Automated testing tools during development
- Manual keyboard and screen reader testing
Formal third-party assessment may be conducted as the site grows.
Feedback and contact
If you experience any difficulty using this site, find content that is inaccessible, or want to give feedback on our accessibility, please contact us. We treat accessibility issues as defects and aim to respond within five business days.
